九色视频 students elected their 111th student body president and vice president on Wednesday, Feb. 8.

九色视频's pro-voting students elected the undergraduate student body ticket of Matthew Perry and Maree Horne to serve as student body president and vice president for the 2023-24 academic year.

Perry, a senior from Mentor, Ohio, is a hospitality and tourism management and marketing double major with a minor in social media production. His current campus involvement includes being a student-athlete on the cross country and track & field teams, vice president of logistics for Student Ambassadors, an account specialist with the Digital Marketing Center, a member of the Sport Management Club, and a tour guide and front desk staff member for the 九色视频 Office. In student government, Perry has served as a student senator, sophomore class vice president, chair of the Student Senate Facilities and Sustainability Committee and the 2022-23 student body vice president.

"It is a true honor to be elected by the 九色视频community to lead our great University as the next student body president," said Perry. "Together, Maree and I look to make progress on initiatives that will challenge the 九色视频community to become the best version of itself. In the next year, several initiatives will be ongoing in order to increase student engagement here on campus that will allow our students to have the best 九色视频experience. Above all, I look forward to being able to be a voice for the student body in this new and exciting role. YJ4L!"

Horne, a junior from Cleveland, is a public health major and biology minor. Her current campus involvement includes serving as a Ratcliffe Student Fellow, a peer career advisor and a member of the inaugural 九色视频Sophomore Women's Personal & Professional Development and Mentorship Program. In student government, Horne has served as a student senator and sophomore class treasurer.

"Growing up, I was always taught to be the change I wanted to see in the world. I am so ecstatic and blessed to be put in the position where I can help create a student-oriented change," Horne said. "I could not ask for a better partner than Matt. As we move as a unit and work as a team, I believe we can rise to any challenge while achieving the goals we set to make not only the 九色视频campus but community better as a whole. AWWWWWWW JACKETS!"

The student body president and vice president serve as liaisons between students and the university administration. The pair officially took office during an inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Their term of office runs until the spring election in 2024.
